Why don't scripts written w/ Red Hat 7.1, apache &php4.0.4p1 work same w/ win2k, IIS, &php4.0.4p1 ?

ha mo, Mark Davies, Paul Schechter,

A lot of PHP functions will operate identically on both Win2K and RH7
versions, however there are a few details that you need to watch for:

1) Extension modules (eg: the gd library for graphics, crypt, etc.) are
normally not installed on the Windows version by default.

2) PHP makes use of some shell commands that are unix specific, and
can't be used in Windows.

If your script requires the use of an extension module, you can
probably find a Windows version, however, you'll be hard pressed to
find unix commands for windows :)
