How can I close, without confirmation, a js popup? (The box pops up in IE 5)

Apr 5th, 2008 20:33
ha mo, Colin Fraser, Iki Mono,

The problem is Microsoft's rather twisted view about basic security
issues. Downloading viruses is OK but Microsoft's view is that people
dont know when they want to close windows and cannot do so without being
told they they are closing a window. Apparently you can avoid the alert
if there is only one location in the window's history, so if you open a
child window and close it from within the child window, there is no
message. Well that is what I have found using IE v5.5. Good luck
