How can I get the remote PC's MAC Address?

I think you can't. At least not by TCP/IP. There's always an exeption
but in general you just can't. MAC adresses are for internal use only
so it would be like asking for the ipnumber from an internal range.
What whould you want with the MAC address anyway?

I would think it would make a nice random id

Okay, better make up one and put it in a database on your server and
in
a cookie on the client. A MAC address SHOULD be unique but in a larger
compagny (over 5000 pc's) I've found identical MACs twice.
