Can select box option text be wrapped or can a horizontal scroll bar be created?

By using HTML & CSS the answer is NO, you will find several other 
questions in HTML & CSS regarding the <select> tag.  Unfortunatly the 
answers are all about the same you have little to no control over it 
using HTML/CSS.   You might try asking in the javascript & see if 
someone can make it happen that way.
