How do I create a self-advancing slide show of pictures in PHP?

Use a meta refresh tag in the head of your HTML as such:

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2;url=picpage.php?id=4">

This will refresh the page after 2 seconds to the url shown.  all you 
have to do is increment the id to the next image that is in your list.
