KMail e-mail client from the command line?

Steps: Overview:

 1. possibly login as root
     (type 'su' in a console, and give your <administrator> password.

 2. change directory
     (type 'cd /usr/bin', in console)

 3. start the e-mail client, by typing the command:

     'kmail'

    in a console

    (or type at once '/usr/bin/kmail' in a console to start KMail)

Note: this has been tested in the Gnome and the KDE desktop, in Linux
Mandrake v8.2 and v9.0
