How can I cleanly uninstall djbdns along with daemontools etc.? http://www.alisajjad.net Ali Sajjad

In the file /etc/inittab
Comment out the line:
SV:123456:respawn:/command/svscanboot

Put a # at the start of the line.

;) Hope this helps. I wasted 1 good hour to search this on the net, and
finally I hacked it myself.
