A faqts Knowledge Base is a collection of information arranged
logically into a hierarchical folder structure. Knowledge is captured
question and answer format and may be accompanied by links to related
sites such as documentation, tutorials and the like. Anyone can
contribute to, or create, a knowledge base.
The names folder and knowledge base are almost interchangeable, but
quite. A knowledge base refers to the entire heirarchy of folders
related to a specific topic, eg. the PHP knowledge base. A folder
refers to only one level in a knowledge base, whether that be the top
upper most level or a sub-level deep in the hierarchical structure.
