Problem solving:Method: Analysis: Simplification: What is 'Reduce
problem to simplest possible case'

---

In order to simplify the problem solving process, you often see that
you will reduce a problem to its simplest possible case.

===

E.g.

Reduction in number

You start with the simplest that is, 1 possibility, then 2
possibilities, ..., finally N possibilities, and possibly use induction
to draw general conclusions.

---

E.g.

Reduction in complexity

You remove everything which is not absolutely necessary
