The Baan Corporation is a company created by Jan Baan
to provide financial and administrative consulting services.
in 1978.

With the development of his first software package, Jan Baan entered
what was to become the ERP industry.

A few years later his brother, Paul, joined what was to become the
largest software family firm in Dutch history.

---

The Baan company focuses on the creation of enterprise resource
planning (=ERP) software in which it currently one of the market
leaders.

The Baan company was first bought by Invensys in 2000, then by
SSAGlobal (June 2003), and SSAGlobal was in turn bought (16 May
2006) by Infor Global Solutions.
