VMWare: Operating system: Install: Linux: Overview: Comparison: Which
installations Linux are easy?

---

My experience:

---

-Debian v3: (the most difficult I have encountered, a long time only
low 640 x 480 resolution graphics as the VMWare tools
could not be installed correctly, but I managed to solve
              this).

-Mandrake v9: (very easy installation, no problems, similar to
                Windows installation)

-Red Hat v9: (rather easy installation, some problems so there might
                be complications)

-Slackware v9: (rather easy installation, no problems)

-SuSE v9: (very easy installation, minimal configuration and
             decisions necessary, no problems, professional)

-TurboLinux v8 server: (very easy installation, professional)

---

Note:

This experience is solely about installation of this Linux versions in
VMWare for Windows workstation v4.0.0 and v4.0.5

Note:

You might also have a look at

Lindows
(http://www.lindows.com)

and

Lycoris
(http://www.lycoris.com)

as they are known to intend to create the
most easy to use operating system possible.
