Graphics: Xara: X: Animation: Gif: Graphics: Vector: How to create an
animated gif animation?

---

Steps: Overview:

 1. -Run Xara X

 2. -Open a new animation

     1. -select from menu option 'File'

     2. -select from list 'New'

     3. -select from list 'Animation'

 3. -Initialize the amount of frames

     1. -select from menu option 'Utilities'

     2. -select from list 'Gallery'

     3. -select from list 'Frame Gallery'

     4. -this will open a dialog box
         'Gif Animation Frame gallery'

It is adviced you leave this dialog
box open, so to switch easy between
         the wanted frames

     5. -Now indicate the total amount of frames you want to create

         1. -click button 'New' (as much times as you need a new frame)

             e.g.
             if you need 5 frames, click 5 - 1 = 4 times on the
             'New' button

 4. -Now draw something in each frame

     1. Click on the line of this frame in the dialog box
        'Gif Animation Frame gallery'

e.g. click on 'Frame 1' to goto frame 1,
             then draw something in it

e.g. click on 'Frame 2' to goto frame 2,
             then draw something in it

             and so on.

 5. -If you click on button 'Preview' in the
dialog box 'Gif Animation Frame gallery'
you will see this animation playing

     1. Click on the '>' button to
see the frames one after another
        on the screen

 6. -Possibly change some settings
(e.g. playing speed), by clicking on the
     button 'Properties...' in this
'Gif Animation Frame gallery' dialog box

---

Note:

-The more screens and the smaller the jumps in distance between the
figures the smoother the animation will become

-Possibly copy the figure from one frame to the next frame and
then make adjustments (e.g. deleting or adding parts). So
you are pretty sure the difference between each frame is not
to big, so that you keep a smooth animation.
