Steps: Overview:

 1. -Open an MSDOS box

 2. -Type the command

      SET USERPROFILE

     to show your current userprofile:

e.g.

Windows 95/98 (single-user):

 C:\Windows\<your user name>

e.g.

 c:\windows\johnny

---

Windows 95/98 (multi-user):

 C:\Windows\Profiles\<your username>

e.g.

 C:\Windows\Profiles\administrator

 or

 C:\Windows\Profiles\johnny

e.g.

in Windows NT you see

 c:\winnt\profiles\<user name>

e.g.

 c:\winnt\profiles\johnny

e.g.

in Windows 2000 and XP you see

 c:\documents and settings\<user name>

 e.g.

 c:\documents and settings\administrator

 or

 c:\documents and settings\johnny
