If you hit a limit, mysql will let you know. There are two limits you
can hit:
max_allowed_packet for long queries
thread_stack for the depth of expression nesting
Increase those if you start getting errors.
However, when you are tempted to issue a really long and complex query,
there is usually an simpler way.
