Steps: Overview:
 1. -Open an MSDOS box, or use the 'Run' box
 2. -Type the command
      scm.exe -action 1 -service mssqlserver
     (this program 'scm.exe' can be found in
      your Microsoft SQL server directory,
      e.g.
 "c:\program files\microsoft sql server\80\tools\binn\scm.exe" -action 
6 -service mssqlserver
