Check out:
proftpd
www.proftpd.net
Not everything works as advertised at the moment but it has life-saver
features - and if you are used to Apache - it has the same look and
feel. Keep up eye out for updates.

Much as I like Proftpd... the last time I checked, it was still
vulnerable to a recursive-directory-listing remote exploit. Pure-ftpd,
from http://www.pureftpd.org, is secure even against that attack. It's
also very easy to install.
