Computer: Search: Graphic: How to use Google Picasa program to search
local pictures and movies?

---

Steps: Overview:

 1. -Download the Google Picasa graphic program

      picasa-google-free.exe

     from

http://www.picasa.com/content/download.php?sourceid=pic&subid=more

    or directly from:

http://www.picasa.com/content/download_exe.php?sourceid=pic&subid=more

 2. -After installation this program will start indexing all your

     1. picture files

        1. .jpg, .jpeg (JPEG files)

        2. .bmp (Microsoft Windows bitmap files)

        3. .psd (Adobe Photoshop)

        4. .tif, .tiff (FAX, OCR, ...)

        5. you have to enable this yourself
(via the Picasa menu->'Tools'->'Options'->tab 'File types')

            1. .gif (GIF files)

            2. .png (PNG files)

     2. movie files

        1. .mpg, .mpeg (MPEG movies)

        2. .avi (AVI movies)

        3. .asf (ASF movies)

        4. .wmv (Microsoft Windows WMV movies)

 3. -It shows the result in a timeline (e.g. from 1994 to 2004)
so you really get a very good overview of all your graphic
     information on your different harddisks.

 4. -You can then edit or handle this information:

     1. play movie

     2. slideshow

     3. timeline

     4. edit

        1. crop

        2. enhance

        3. remove red eyes

     5. export pictures and generate automatically a webpage
        to show them
