Steps: Overview:
1. -Download Apache
2. -Install the file by
1. double clicking on this filename in
Microsoft Windows Explorer
-- or --
1. by typing on the MSDOS command line
apache_2.0.52-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi
or also
start apache_2.0.52-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi
3. -This will start the Apache installation wizard
4. -Click button 'Next'
5. -Possibly accept the license agreement
by clicking on the appropriate radio button
6. -Possibly read the 'Read it first'
7. -Click button 'Next'
8. -You must fill in the following information:
1. Network domain
if you are not on a network domain, fill
in something, e.g. 'test'
2. Server name
Fill in your server name
If you do not know it, fill in e.g. 'test'
3. Administrator's Email address
Fill in e.g. your email address
myname@myprovider.com
4. -Enable radio button 'for All Users, on Port 80, as a service'
9. -Click button 'Next'
10. -Choose the setup that best suits your need
1. -Enable e.g. radio button 'Typical'
11. -Click button 'Next'
12. -Possibly change the destination folder
(by clicking on the button 'Change',
otherwise it will by default be installed
in
c:\program files\apache group
13. -Click button 'Next'
14. -Click button 'Install' to start the installation
15. -Click button 'Finish' when the installation has finished
