Operating system: Microsoft: Windows XP/2003: Operation: Add: How to
add programs to startup?
To make sure your program starts when your computer starts:

Method: Drag and drop in startup folder

Steps: Overview:
1. -Open e.g. Microsoft Explorer
2. -Drag and drop your program in
c:\documents and settings\<your userid name>\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup
and or
c:\documents and settings\all users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
3. -That will start that program at startup of your computer

Method: Copy via MSDOS to startup folder

Steps: Overview:
1. -Open an MSDOS box
1. -Click button Windows 'Start'
2. -Select from list 'Run'
3. -Type the command
cmd
4. -Click button 'OK'
2. -Copy program to
c:\documents and settings\<your userid name>\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup
and or
c:\documents and settings\all users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
1. Type the command
copy <your program name> "c:\documents and settings\<your
userid name>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
e.g.
copy mystart.exe "c:\documents and
settings\administrator\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
3. -That will start that program at startup of your computer

2. -Copy the program involved to the clipboard
1. -Right click on filename
2. -Select from list 'Copy'
3. -goto directory
c:\documents and settings\<your userid name>\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup
and or
c:\documents and settings\all users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
4. -Paste your program in there
1. -Right click on the surface
2. -Select from list 'Paste'
5. -That will start that program at startup of your computer
