TSE: Notepad.exe: Replace: How to replace notepad.exe with TSE?

---

Steps: Overview:

 1. -Backup all notepad.exe

     1. -Search for all 'notepad.exe'

     2. -Create a backup

         1. -In the directory

              <your windows directory>\system32\dllcache

                e.g.

                 c:\windows\system32\dllcache

                e.g.

                 c:\winnt\system32\dllcache

             rename the file

               notepad.exe

             to e.g.

               notepad_bak.exe

 2. -Replace notepad.exe with a TSE version

     1. -Copy g32.exe to notepad.exe in your dllcache directory

          e.g.

           copy g32.exe c:\windows\system32\dllcache\notepad.exe

          e.g.

           copy g32.exe c:\winnt\system32\dllcache\notepad.exe

     2. -When Microsoft Windows XP shows a dialog box
asking you to insert the Microsoft Windows CD
just press <CANCEL>, then 'Yes' to quit.

     3. -After this copy g32.exe to your Windows directory

          e.g.

           copy g32.exe c:\windows\notepad.exe

          e.g.

           copy g32.exe c:\winnt\notepad.exe

     4. -To get your usual settings for this

           g32.exe

         1. -Set the environment variable

             TSELOADDIR

             1. -You copy g32.exe as notepad.exe in the Windows
directory. And the rest of TSE-Pro is installed in
                 c:\bin\tsepro. Create an environment variable,
called TSELOADDIR, and set it to c:\bin\tsepro

                 1. Open an MSDOS box

                 2. Type the command

                     SET TSELOADDIR=c:\bin\tsepro

Now, when you run notepad (actually, g32), it will
use c:\bin\tse as the editors load directory, and
will load\store the history, recent files, ...,
                 from there also.
