Check to see if your USB drive letter  is conflicting with a pre-
assigned
drive letter.

Possible cause:

The driveletter assigned to the USB drive is already
in use (e.g. by a network drive)

Possible solution:

Choose another driveletter for your USB stick
(e.g. z: instead of f:)

Steps: Overview:

 1. -Right click on 'My Computer' located on your desktop
     or in 'Start'

 2. -Select from list 'Manage'

 3. -Select from list 'Disk Management'

 4. -Locate your USB stick (and look at the drive letter)

 5. -Right click on the drive

     1. -Allocate a new drive letter to your USB drive

         1. e.g.

             z:
