Have a look at http://www.mnot.net/cgi_buffer/ (note that this is alpha software). ------------ This needs to be handled by your webserver, not PHP. You can't get persistant PHP scripts. It's a stateless process. Look in your webserver docs or ask another question inside of the FAQTS section specific to your webserver.
