Steps: Overview:

 1. -Create the following program

 INSTALL @lib$+"SOCKLIB"

 PROC_initsockets

 PRINT "host name = " + FN_gethostname

 PROC_exitsockets

 END

 2. -If you run this program it will e.g. show

      hostname = MyComputerName
