.php files not parsing under Apache/PHP4

Oct 27th, 2000 10:18
MrJules Woolford, Jim Luttgens,

I was having this trouble on my Windows ME after first installing
Apache - editing the htppd.conf to set DocumentROOT ... ServerNAME etc
succesfully ...

Then following the various documentation for PHP install but i lacked
the knowledge of the 'theory' behind my setting up the entries for PHP
handling in the apache config file.

the breakthrough came to me after 'logically' seeing where I had made a
mistake in the htppd.conf sections relating to PHP activation
or 'parsing'

Every time I loaded a PHP document it tried to offer to 'save to disk'
or 'open from current location'.....

an answer on this site helped we grasp he logic....

also ensure you edit the PHP.INI file in your windows directory if this
is your platform...
