Steps: Overview:

 1. -Rename the Microsoft .img file to .iso file

 2. -Use e.g. Nero v6.x or higher to burn this .iso image to CD

     1. -Insert a blank CD (if rewritable CD, erase it first)

     2. -Write the image file to CD

Tested successfully on
Microsoft Windows XP Professional (service pack 2),
running
Nero v6.x
