How do I go about adding a rate calulator such as UPS or FedEx?

I don't want to describe too much, because both UPS and FedEx have 
these massive license agreements that restrict how much you can tell 
about how their online systems work.

For rate calculation only, UPS's system is by far the easiest to use.  
All you need to know is how to interact with some cgi scripts on their 
servers.

FedEx on the other hand requires a program be installed on the web 
server itself, and then the rate calculater is a very small part of 
that package and is only an 'estimate'.  However, that's only for FedEx 
Express rates.  Ground rates may use a different method, however I 
haven't looked into it.

To use the FedEx services, you'll need a FedEx account.  I'm not quite 
sure what's involved in obtaining an account though.
