What is website maintenance and how often is it required to be done?

Website maintenance is the process of optimizing your website at regular
intervals to ensure that your site stays updated all the time.
Basically, a website can be maintained in two ways, such as technically
and content wise. A website needs be maintained technically to keep up
with the latest technological developments in the relevant domain. For
instance, from search engine standpoint, the programming language used
to develop the website might get outdated when you are not even aware of
it. In that case, you site will become outdated and can not boost its
search engine ranking. 

Secondly, when the visitors come to your sites, they should have
something new to look forward to. No visitor to be excited to see the
same old content. This doesn’t mean that you should keep changing the
content without any good reason. However, you should keep on adding new
topics and blogs to your site to offer a fresh look to your website
leaving some reasons for your visitors to keep coming back to you at all
times.
