did someone wrote already a PHP program allowing to register a site to search engines? does PHP has functions to do that?

i am unaware of any functions as such in php

however you can write your own as I have my own version of 
search engine submitter, but it is a executable program and not a php
script.

the famous ones charge money except google. so i don't think it is worth
including in PHP. 

just send the GET/POST headers for the search engine you are interested 
in.
e.g.
http://www.google.com/addurl.html
send all the form data in that page from your PHP script.
