Several commercial and freely available Relational Database Management 
Systems (RDBMS) are available under Linux. 

Freely available database systems include:

- PostgreSQL http://www.postgresql.org/
- MySQL http://www.mysql.com/
- Firebird http://firebird.sourceforge.net/

The above database systems are distributed under varying licenses but 
are all freely available for use. 

Commercial database systems available for Linux include:

- Oracle http://www.oracle.com/linux/
- IBM DB2 http://www.ibm.com/db2/
- Ingres http://www.ca.com/ingres/ (An old version of Ingres is 
available as open source)
- Sybase http://www.sybase.com/linux/
