looking for ApacheModuleJServ.dll for win98, to finish setup, for JSP

Sep 15th, 2001 14:59
Jarrett Wold, Gary Demmin, Robert Alley,

I have been looking for this too. I finally found a file named
ApacheModuleJServ-1.1-1.3.9.dll at
http://java.apache.org/jserv/dist/old/ It looks to be atleast 1 1/2
years old. I don't know what is in it. I make no promises and I take
no responsibilities. ;) I have seen entries in other forums
recommending finding the source code and compiling your own copy, which
is what I would prefer. Too bad I haven't found the source code
either.
However, after downloading this file and renaming it to
ApacheModuleJServ.dll, it seems to be working for me. Use at your own
risk.

Addition
"mod_jk is a replacement to the elderly mod_jserv. It is a completely
new Tomcat-Apache plug-in that handles the communication between Tomcat
and Apache."

doc location: http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/

Choose release documentation and find the portion of the page that
states
"Apache
   mod_jk - Installation and configuration"

binary location: http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/jakarta-
tomcat/release/

Choose your release and then navigate to the win32/i386 subdirectory
then download mod_jk.dll and place it in your apache modules
directory. Follow the instructions as per above.
