There is a script, which you can find here
http://www.cynergi.net/exportsql/, which will export the Access DB to
SQL compatible with MySQL. You need some knowledge of VB for
Applications (or whatever). I must confess that I have made this work
once, but not during the latest tries. It seems like VBA scripts are
terrible sensitive to versions of who knows what.
Then there are some ODBC stuff which you can use to let Access connect
directly to MySQL. If you know access and vba well enough you might use
this to replicate the data directly. Search this page for ODBC
http://www.mysql.com/information/links.html. Also take a look here:
http://www.iserver.com/support/addonhelp/database/mysql/odbc/ for
installation help.
And the lead story on www.phpbuilder.com these days (Dec 7, 2000) is
about access and PHP, and might be of some value as well. (See sources
for a direct link to the story.)
